2010 is almost over...

...And I am thrilled for 2011! A friend of mine posted some top 10's of 2010 on her blog and it got me thinking a little bit about the long year that was 2010.  For me, this past year has felt like 5 years rolled into one. A lot of pivotal changes transpired in my life, I am looking forward to merging into the new year with broader shoulders, older bones, wiser thoughts, and a great deal of assurance. The Paper Crane  has become a full fledged, full time job with a real life brick and mortar studio as well as a successful online presence. What started as simply a personal studio practice and blog to document it has grown into fostering a community and loving what I do in life. I am thrilled and astounded that so much progress and so much positivity has come out of one year. This next new year will be rife with challenges to which I greet with open arms and courage. My most precious priority is embedded in the foundation of The Paper Crane. Now a staff of not just myself, but also a long time dear friend. We two have begun the journey of building The Paper Crane into a non-profit artist books and works on paper studio and exhibition space in Chicago that fosters artists projects and the education of book binding and artist books. Our online presence is equally important as it sustains and feeds our hearts  with what we love the most, art, artists and discourse. So here are a few, some-what fractured top ten lists from myself. Thanks for the inspiration Elisse!
