Value, whats it worth to you?

As I begin to price my woven work for the upcoming Renegade Craft Fair in Chicago, I keep thinking about the way consumers make choices on what they buy. How we assign value to goods and services and determine their worth. Is a handmade item's value greater than something manufactured yet finely produced? I think it is, but as I try to put value to the things I myself have made, I have a hard time with it. I want my goods to be affordable for people. At the same time, each item I weave takes a lot of time to make, I use fine materials that are not cheap and I put a lot of myself into what I do. So there has to be some profit on my end. As I continue to research price points, I certainly welcome input from you out there. What is the value of a hand woven scarf to you?
