News from Herron!
It's been a minute since my last post! I've so many exciting things to share as a result! Are you ready for all the good news?
Herron is moving! Well not quite yet, we are considering setting up shop in a large, beautiful vacant space connected to The Humboldt House shop at 1045 N. California Ave late this summer. After some trial workshops, in the space, we will have a better idea on how to "move" forward. We will however be dropping the 'Clothier' from our name, sprucing up our website and blog and relaunching when we have a new home. Herron is partnering with Humboldt House to bring you a series of curated weaving workshops starting in mid July. Register at herronclothier.com, they are almost full!
Check out the giant wall piece (pictured above) that I wove up for Humboldt House's monthly California Nights party!
Herron will also be participating in Art Camp at Wandawega this year in mid August! I will be teaching a mini weaving workshop to invited guests. I have been looking forward to this since March when I was asked to participate. I can't wait to have a little r + r and meet other Chicago makers and doers. September brings Herron to Michigan where I will be doing a short one week residency at Have Company in Grand Rapids. I'll be teaching a mini weaving workshop there (details TBA) and working on site to create an installation for the shop. Have Company is run and curated by the very sweet and inspiring Marlee Grace.
Check out the Have Company Blog to see all the artists she is hosting this summer.

I am also psyched to vaguely report that I am in early planning stages on some great collaborations with two ladies whose work I adore, Aitho Adornments and Foxgove Studio. Lastly, But not at all in the least, I am working on a top secret project, an exhibition of large scale tapestry work. Details on all of these exciting projects will be announced as plans and schedules become finalized.
