Introduction to Twill Patterns for Basket Making JANUARY
Join me for a one-day introductory workshop where you will learn to design variations of twill patterns for weaving three-dimensional baskets using reed. We will begin by drafting twill patterns and their variations using graph paper and pencils. Then, we will translate these patterns into a flat weaving sample with reed before moving on to create a small basket using colored reeds based on our new designs. While no prior experience with basketry or weaving is necessary to take this workshop, though if you have some familiarity with weaving that will be helpful.
